Fergus Stewart makes wood fired salt glazed pots in the remote Assynt region of the North West Highlands of Scotland. He has worked, taught and exhibited internationally for over 30 years and regularly runs workshops and projects in pottery making and the design and construction of wood fired kilns. In 2011 Fergus helped Anne Mette Hjortshøj construct her kilns on Bornholm.

Fergus uses stoneware and porcelain clays and his glazes are influenced by the natural colours of wild landscape around his workshop.
