2020 Relative Value

My calculations are based on the average weekly wage of an agricultural labourer in 1946 (£4 12s 2½ d) compared with the 2020 minumum wage of £8.72p an hour for 40 hours. This gives multiplier of around 75x.

A look through some 1946 newspapers at my local library revealed the following prices which may offer a better comparison:
