John Edgeler loved country pottery. He collected pots, wrote books and held a series of pottery and craft events at his home, Queen Anne House in Winchcombe. John founded and donated his collection to the Winchcombe Archive Collection Trust with the aim of exhibiting the pots alongside other craft items made the Cotswolds. John died in 2022 but the trust survives and has been renamed The Edgeler Collection in his honour.

The Edgeler Collection's inaugurial exhibition opens on June 22nd 2024. An Ancient Tradition examines the roots of Winchcombe Pottery showing how Michael Cardew was influenced by the country pottery of North Devon.
